RALLY ON HEALTH AWARENESS AND ERADICATION OF POVERTY ON 16TH OCTOBER 2017
Our School St.Columban’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School Organized a rally on 16th October 2017 around our school as part of our children’s education and to create public awareness of the Sustainable Development Gods (S.D.Gs)
Goal 1: Food Security
Goal 2: Eradication of Poverty
Goal 3: Good Health and Well being among the public. The Students of Std VIII – XII and participated in the rally accompanied by the Principal, Management, Teachers, Members of the P.T.A and our supportive staff
The Rally took place in the following streets Mc Lean Street, Broadway Road, N.S.C. Bose Road, Armenian Street, Errabalu Chetty Street and Sembuboss Street
The following points were conveyed to the public through placard and slogans: ❖ Health Awareness ❖ Importance of Education ❖ The need to eradicate poverty ❖ Food for all ❖ Cleanliness
By participating in this rally our students were: ❖ Sensitized about the prevailing reality around the school ❖ It was an eye-opener regarding their role in eradicating poverty. ❖ They felt empowered, to bring about a change ❖ The rally boosted their positivity and confidence in building a better tomorrow ❖ They felt grateful for all that they enjoy when they called out of the rights of the less fortunate
